Children portraits

Last September I worked on some small watercolor portraits (5 X 7 in) of children from an orphanage in South Sudan. Today I am sharing 5 out of 25 that I painted.

My Peace I Give You

“My Peace I Give You”
Mixed media triptych
Size: 10 X 24 inches (25 X 61 cm)

Inspired by the Bible verse John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Wishing you all a New Year filled with Peace and Love, and praying for the World Peace. ♥

“Mother Africa” and Hello again!

“Mother Africa”
Medium: Soft pastel
Size: 22 X 30 inches

I painted and donated “Mother Africa” for the “Art of the Heart of Africa” benefit 2016. Some of you may remember my last year’s post about this event. To make a long story short, it was a great success and my painting raised a nice amount of money for this charity.

Mother Africa

Hello Friends,

It’s been a while! I missed being here and I’ve missed you all!

I took a break because first, I was really sad about unexpectedly loosing my kitty Jasper, but also because I wanted to make a change in my career so I can spend more time doing art. So, past few months I was working on finding a job that will allow me more free time and that finally happened this month. I now have a job where I work three days a week, and the rest of the week I attend professional training in granite/marble etching and I paint.

So, I am back and just saying HI and HELLO to all of you and hoping to start slowly catching up with your writings, art, articles, etc.

With LOVE,

Silver glowing face

Of the moon

Quietly sails across

Darkened sky.

Cold November air

Smells like frost,

Dying leaves, and

Withered grass.

I inhale and exhale.
